This weekend will complete the first quarter of the NASCAR competition. Dirt racing is back at Bristol and it should be an action packed race. The drivers will take a second crack on the dirt after last years wa won by the #22, Joey Logano.
This Easter Sunday Food City night race should be full of action. It will take many of the competitors back to their early roots racing on a dirt surface. In fact it will only be the second time since 1971 a NASCAR points race has taken place on a surface other than pavement.
Practice and qualifying will take place Friday. A unique qualifying process will decide the starting Field. Four het races of nine drivers each will decide the starting grid. Look for defending Cup champ Kyle Larson to be among the favorites in the race. Other top tier drivers are defending Bristol Champ Joey Logano, and other accomplished dirt track divers such as Denny Hamlin, Chase Briscoe, Christopher Bell and Larson's Hendrick teammate, Chase Elliott.
